MacDonald, Michael F. M.D.

Michael F. MacDonald, M.D., is a General Adult Urologist. He is an Associate Professor at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and Board Certified in Urology.

Dr. MacDonald received his Bachelor of Science degree (magna cum laude) from Michigan State University and medical degree (with distinguished honors) from Wayne State University. During medical school, he became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical fraternity. He completed a general internship at Brooke Army Medical Center (Fort Sam Houston, Texas). The following two years, he served as Director of the Army Health Clinic and Army Flight Surgeon at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Then, he completed a Urology residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. Following residency, he served as the Chief of Urology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Fort Bliss, Texas for two years. He has been practicing in Michigan since 2007.

Dr. MacDonald practices all aspects of adult urology. In addition, for the last three years he has been intensively studying and training in Eastern (Mind-Body) Medicine philosophy and techniques. This experience has given him a new perspective.  He now integrates his expertise as a Urologist with Eastern Medicine philosophies, in order to provide a holistic health plan for each of his patients.
Dr. MacDonald has authored multiple scientific papers on various urologic topics. He has also presented original research papers at numerous national urologic meetings. He is a member of the American Urological Association.
