For over 20 years, I have studied, trained and practiced medicine in the metro Detroit area. After receiving my B.S. from the University of Michigan in 1985, I began medical school at Wayne State University where I received honors upon graduating in 1989. Then, for six years I completed a urology residency at Henry Ford Hospital. I have also completed an Advanced Course in Prosthetic Urology. Since 2001, I have practiced at William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak with Comprehensive Urology. I practice all aspects of urology, with an emphasis on ED (erectile dysfunction), kidney stones, bladder cancer and prostate disease. As a metro Detroiter, I am proud to be able to provide the finest, state-of-the-art medical care for those of my community as a Board Certified urologist.
Communication in patient care is paramount. Synthesizing the information and questions of the primary care physician with the patient’s symptoms and goals provides the basis for excellent urologic care. Allowing time for questions and further explanation reaps the benefit of a trusting and pleased patient.
At work, my specific areas of interest include ED, providing all of the innovative therapies when the oral therapies of Viagra, Levitra or Cialis fail. My advanced training and vast experience with penile prosthesis surgery have lead to excellent patient outcomes when an implant becomes the treatment of choice. Additionally, I offer all of the options in the treatment of Peyronie’s Disease (penile curvature, ED, pain). As males age, both benign and malignant disease of the prostate becomes more common. Oral medicines, minimally invasive procedures such as Prostiva, and the traditional surgical approaches each have a role and are tailored to each patient’s need. Our practice prides itself on prostate and bladder cancer care, and I actively guide patients through the entire diagnostic and treatment process.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and sons and playing squash.
