Gilleran, Jason P. M.D.

Jason P. Gilleran, MD is an adult urologist certified by the American Board of Urology and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

Dr. Gilleran received his B.A. from Albion College, followed by his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1998.  He completed Urologic residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and went to additional fellowship training in Female Urology & Voiding Dysfunction at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.  Prior to joining Comprehensive Medical Center, he served as Director for Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Ohio State University Medical Center from 2005-2010.

Dr. Gilleran’s clinical interests include all aspects of female urology, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, interstitial cystitis and other forms of chronic pelvic pain.  Dr. Gilleran offers specialized training and experience in robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery, particularly for female pelvic reconstruction.  In addition, Dr. Gilleran is trained in several techniques of neuromodulation, and offers this as an office-based procedure.

Dr. Gilleran is dedicated to teaching and training the next generation of urologists, as demonstrated by receiving the first Jack Neely Taylor Award for Instructor of the Year at Ohio State in 2010.   In his spare time, Dr. Gilleran enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as playing tennis and music.
