Dr. Muzammil Ahmed earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. He also completed his general surgery internship and a urological surgery residency at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Ahmed has published articles and book chapters detailing research and treatment methods for common urological conditions and cancers. Dr. Ahmed is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He is a member of the American Urological Association, Oakwood Cancer Center and the Michigan Peer Review Organization. He was awarded the Volunteer Faculty of the Year Award for teaching in 2005, 2009 and 2010 by Oakwood Hospital. Dr. Ahmed is the Chief of Surgery at the Oakwood Annapolis Hospital and Chair of the Surgical Quality Assurance Committee. Dr Ahmed has also been designated as one of Southeast Michigan's "Top Docs" as reported in the October 2008 Detroit Hour Magazine.

Dr. Ahmed has lived in southeastern Michigan for over 30 years. He is married and has 4 children. He grew up in England, and his family is from India. Dr Ahmed enjoys soccer, video games and staying enaged with the community. He is an avid Wolverine and asks that people refrain from wearing Spartan clothing to office visits.
