Low Testosterone (Androgen Deficiency)

Low testosterone (hypogonadism, decreased libido, androgen deficiency)

The male hormone testosterone is necessary for male sex drive, muscle development, feeling of well being, bone density, energy level, and to a lesser extent, erections. When male hormones fall below specific age-related levels, symptoms may occur. After the diagnosis is made and underlying problems are ruled out, testosterone replacement therapy can safely and effectively alleviate symptoms. A variety of replacement regimens are available and discussed with patients. Patients are closely monitored for any adverse side effects.
