
Dr. Schuster joined Oakland County Urologists in 2009 after completing a fellowship in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotics at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). She specializes in minimally-invasive surgery for prostate and kidney cancers utilizing state-of-the-art daVinci® robotic technology. She is also one of only a handful of urologists in Michigan who performs PCNL from start to finish for the treatment of complex kidney stone disease. Her patients appreciate her down to earth demeanor and willingness to spend time educating them on their medical condition and treatment options. She strongly believes that open communication and patient education are key to providing the best care possible.
Dr. Schuster is a graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship and general surgery training at Henry Ford Health System/Bi-County Community Hospital and her urology residency at Michigan State University/POH Regional Medical Center. Dr. Schuster is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. She has numerous publications on minimally-invasive surgery in the treatment of kidney stone disease and has co-authored a textbook chapter on robotic surgery for prostate cancer. As Clinical Assistant Professor for Michigan State University, she enjoys participating in the training of future urologists. She is also a member of the American Urological Association and currently serves as Co-Director of Minimally-Invasive and Robotic Surgery at Huron-Valley Sinai Hospital.
