Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery
Beaumont Comprehensive Urology has surgeons fellowship-trained in laparoscopic surgery, which is minimally-invasive surgery performed through key-hole sized incisions on the abdomen as opposed to traditional large open incisions. This type of surgery is proven to result in less pain, less bleeding and a quicker return to normal activities. Many laparoscopic procedures also utilize the Da Vinci robot to improve outcomes.
