Benign Scrotal Conditions

Lumps and bumps in the scrotum are often discovered, but fortunately not usually serious. We do encourage you to have a doctor examine any lesion you are concerned about. Some of the benign lesions commonly found are:

• Hydrocele – a build up of fluid around the testis
• Spermatocele – a cystic lesion beside the testis
• Cysts

Surgery is offered for lesions when required (pain, increased size, uncertainty of diagnosis).
