Pediatric Urology

Dr. Kass and Dr. Feber perform their surgical procedures in the Ghesquiere Center for Children’s Surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. This specialized children’s surgical specialty center is the only dedicated center for pediatric surgery in a five-county region.

The center offers the most advanced technology, and a specialized highly trained children’s surgery team, including operating room personel, recovery room nurses, and pediatric anesthesiologists in an atmosphere designed to surprise and delight children.

The Children’s Surgery Center is a 16,000-square-foot unit that includes a separate children’s waiting room, semi-private pre-operative rooms, six procedure rooms and a post-anesthesia care unit. The new center helps to reduce the anxiety of children who are about to undergo surgery, with features such as a “river” floor, twinkling “stars” in the ceiling and red wagons instead of wheelchairs to transport patients.
