Gilleran, M.D. is currently Associate Professor of Urology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1998 and completed his Urology residency at the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2004.\u00a0 He then went on to spend a year with Dr. Philippe Zimmern and Dr. Gary Lemack as the Female Urology Fellow at UT Southwestern, completing the fellowship in 2005.\u00a0 Prior to returning to his native metro Detroit in 2010, he served as Head of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstruction in the Department of Urology at The Ohio State University in Columbus.\u00a0 His clinical and research interests focus on neuromodulation, interstitial cystitis \/ chronic pelvic pain, complex urinary incontinence, as well as daVinci\u00ae robotic surgery for pelvic floor reconstruction.\u00a0 He has authored or co-authored 20 peer reviewed journal articles, numerous textbook chapters, and review articles.\u00a0 In 2018, he was co-editor on the textbook \u201cAdult and Pediatric Neuromodulation\u201d.\u00a0 He is active in teaching as part of the accredited Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) Fellowship at William Beaumont
