Dr. Shalhoub is a board certified urologist and a diplomate of the American Board of Urology. He earned his undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Michigan. He moved to the Chicago area to complete his residency in urology at Loyola University Medical Center and returned to his home state to join a private practice. His urologic interests include the treatment of stones, erectile dysfunction, kidney surgery, prostate surgery including with the Urolift procedure.
The Urolift procedure represents a significant advancement in the treatment of BPH using a minimally invasive technique. It offers patients the option for an in-office procedure with fairly quick recovery typically without a catheter, few side effects, and preservation of ejaculatory and erectile function. Dr. Shalhoub has performed the Urolift procedure since 2016 and has treated approximately 200 patients.
