Dorothy Rodriguez, ANP-BC has been working at the Waterford office of Comprehensive Urology since
October of 2018. She also performs daily rounds at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac.
Dorothy obtained her Bachelors of Nursing Science in 1987 at Eastern Michigan University and completed
her Masters of Science in Nursing as an Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in 1999 at Wayne State University.
As a nurse practitioner, she set up, managed, and staffed Teen Health Centers in southwest Detroit and Waterford over a 15 year period. After leaving Teen Health care, Dorothy worked with an Infectious Disease practice at SJMO and McLaren Oakland hospitals, long term care hospitals and extended care nursing facilities.
She continued working in the hospital at McLaren Oakland and staffing GYN, Urology and Internal Medicine service lines prior to her recent transition to full time Urology Nurse Practitioner.
Dorothy is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Society of Urologic Nurses and
Associates, Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Hispanic Nurses-
National and the Michigan Chapter.
